Von Wolf's account manager, Kit Giroux, talks through their story and how getting starting with Google Shopping ads transformed their business...
For the last 20 years, Von Wolf K9 Equipment has been supplying a range of dog equipment to the Ministry of Defence, the Police, HMP, and the sports dog industry.
Looking to take their online store to the next level, Owners, Alan and Sally, signed up for our 6-week eCommerce Trial package, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision for Von Wolf!
The challenge
Von Wolf had never run paid advertising campaigns before, so obviously, the main challenge here was getting their Google Ads account set up and ready to go.
Starting with a new Ads account meant that their account manager, Kit Giroux (one of our team of eCommerce experts!), would have zero historical data to inform decisions, and therefore needed to build an audience from scratch.
Our strategy
Kit began the trial by creating new Google Shopping ad campaigns, that focused on generating traffic to their website to start with.
Getting this new traffic through to the website, would help us to see the types of searchers that were actively seeking Von Wolf’s products – enabling us to refine and target similar audiences and increase the likelihood that they would convert into paying customers.
The trial period was a great success! So much so, that Von Wolf signed up for a longer-term partnership with our eCommerce team!
Following this successful trial – which built a solid foundation – we knew there was an opportunity for more rapid growth with their ads.
Kit could see the areas that were most profitable and therefore attributed more budget into these campaigns, as well as exploring new audiences.
The results
Von Wolf’s ad campaigns have delivered the growth they dreamed of…
– 51% increase in orders (Jan-Sept 2023 compared to the same period in 2022)
– 2,300% return on ad spend (from July-Sept 2023)
– 72% increase in revenue (Jan-Sept 2023 compared to the same period in 2022)
Off the back of this success, Von Wolf and our eCommerce experts are now looking at expanding their strategy into Microsoft Ads and reaching new audiences.
