The business has been a long-term partner of Add People, starting their journey without any Google Ads campaigns at all.

Since then, our eCommerce specialists have transformed their digital marketing, with the business now seeing huge demand for their products, which continues to grow.

The challenge

After finding success with the introduction of Google Ads campaigns and Smart Shopping campaigns, it was important to maximise the budget by focusing on the top-performing products.

After consultation with Powerland BC, and diving deeper into what they wanted to achieve, the main objectives were to increase the number of sales, whilst adapting to a reduced search volume and increasing the Cost-Per-Click (CPC) across the board.

Our strategy

Initially adopting Smart Shopping campaigns, in April 2022, our eCommerce experts decided the best approach would be to implement Performance Max campaigns for the strategy going forward.

This would enable them to specifically focus on maximising the return from their top-performing products, whilst also driving more traffic to their lower-performing products.

Using effective budget management, the team split these top-performing products into their own campaigns, and were able to push these ads to customers at different stages of the purchasing journey.

The aim here was to attract new potential customers who may not have heard of their brand before.

Once this proved successful, the team then moved on to growing other individual products within their own ad campaigns.

The results

Since implementing Performance Max campaigns in April, Powerland Battery Centre has seen year-on-year growth of:

– 367% increase in revenue

– 41% increase in orders

– 304% increase in Return On Ad Spend (ROAS)

These results were supported with 15% more ad spend.
