XShear

XShear sell high-quality medical shears through their eCommerce website.

Looking to improve their sales, they teamed up with Add People in September 2021.

Working closely alongside a dedicated Amazon expert, XShear transformed their Amazon ad campaigns.

Here’s how…

The challenge

At the time of partnering with Add People, XShear already had two existing Amazon campaigns running (manual Sponsored Product campaigns).

Whilst these were largely driving the majority of sales, it was clear to the Amazon experts that they weren’t structured properly for data collection or scaling.

This meant that XShear could be missing out on £000’s in lost sales opportunities!

Our strategy

After an initial consultation with Wes Brubaker, XShear’s Founder, the team were able to get a real understanding of their business goals and objectives, which would create the foundation for the strategy going forward.

The primary focus of the Amazon team was the re-structuring of the targeting within the account.

This was done by introducing multiple segmented campaigns and new campaign types that had not yet been explored by XShear, including new Sponsored Product and Sponsored Display campaigns.

This would help to maximise the returns of top-performing products and reach new audiences amongst Amazon’s 220 million worldwide monthly users.

The results

From the implementation of these optimisations, the results quickly started to follow…

In the first month, ad spend was reduced by 33% whilst still maintaining the level of sales, leading to a 400% improvement in returns.

By December 2021, sales had increased by 25% and overall return on ad spend (ROAS) stood at 1,225%.

Since teaming up with Add People, XShear have not looked back, they have seen consistent returns and the overall profitability of their Amazon store has improved significantly.

This is a fantastic example of how properly utilising multiple marketing channels, can have a monumental impact on small business growth.
